As such, the emergency shelter and food they are given only deal with the problem in part. Due to the events of which they have been part, these children have put their childhood on hold and need to be able to live like proper children again.
Children can play in these safe spaces and interact to strengthen the bonds between them. They also provide an opportunity for professional monitors, specially trained by us, to spot more severe trauma and set up tailored psychosocial support.
